Closed-Loop Precision: Delivering Real-World Accuracy

In signage production, precision is critical to professional quality and installation efficiency. Even slight cutting deviations can prevent perfect assembly of components, causing significant wasted labor and customer dissatisfaction in large displays or illuminated letters. Positioning accuracy is not a static metric but a key performance that must be maintained in dynamic, complex cutting operations.

Traditional CNC systems often use open-loop or semi-closed-loop control. The system drives motors based on programmed commands, assuming the mechanical execution perfectly reaches the target. In practice, factors such as mechanical play, thermal expansion, and guide friction cause deviations between the tool’s actual position and the position assumed by the control system; errors that accumulate during long, high-speed, or complex cutting paths.

The SK2 addresses this with a high-precision magnetic scale full closed-loop positioning system. The system continuously tracks the tool’s absolute physical position with micron-level precision.

As a result, the SK2 maintains ±0.025 mm full-range motion accuracy and ±0.015 mm repeatability. For the signage industry, this means:

Higher product quality: Smooth, precise cut edges; perfect alignment of custom-shaped components.

Higher installation efficiency: Cut letters and panels can be installed directly, reducing on-site adjustments.

Reduced material waste and rework: Nearly eliminates rework or scrap due to precision errors.

The SK2 full closed-loop system elevates cutting precision from a factory-set condition to a performance actively maintained by intelligent electronics, ensuring reliable performance of even the most complex tasks in real-world production.
