At this year’s FESPA, a leading global exhibition for printing and signage, Henry from IECHO sat down with Amy Betta, a representative of Bitcom, a long-standing partner from the Czech Republic. Bitcom is a well-established distributor of digital printing equipment with over 30 years of industry experience. During the interview, Amy summed up IECHO’s cutting systems and service with a single word: “Perfect.”
Three Decades of Expertise: From Roland to IECHO
Founded in 1991 and based in Prague, Bitcom is the official Czech dealer of Roland printers and other Roland machines. Over the years, the company has built a strong customer base and reputation in digital printing. Amy explained that Bitcom initially focused on Roland’s inkjet printers, later adding smaller cutting machines from Graphtec to meet basic post-print processing needs.
About six or seven years ago, as UV flatbed printers became more popular, Bitcom began offering large-format UV flatbed printers to its customers. However, a new challenge emerged: customers needed larger, higher-capacity cutting systems for post-print tasks like contour cutting and finishing. Their existing small cutters could no longer keep up.
“When our customers started buying large UV flatbed printers, we urgently needed to find them more powerful cutting solutions,” Amy recalled. “That’s when we started looking into larger cutting systems and began our cooperation with IECHO.”
A Proven Partnership: Over 20 Machines Across Multiple Series
Since the partnership began, Bitcom has purchased more than 20 IECHO cutting systems. Depending on the application, Bitcom has introduced various models to the Czech market, including the BK series, TK4 series, and BK3.
“Our customers have diverse needs – some require high-speed, high-precision digital cutting, while others prioritize cost-effectiveness,” Amy said. “IECHO’s broad product line allows us to match the right machine to each customer. Whether it’s textiles, signage, packaging, or industrial composites, we have a cutting solution ready.”
One key advantage, according to Amy, is the wide range of tools and accessories IECHO offers. “When a customer has special process requirements, we can quickly determine the optimal modification from IECHO’s tool library and plan the entire post-processing workflow accordingly.”
“BY YOUR SIDE” – More Than a Slogan
IECHO’s corporate slogan, “BY YOUR SIDE” is more than a tagline – it’s a commitment that has been proven in practice. When asked whether IECHO truly stays close to its customers, Amy answered without hesitation: “Yes.”
In her view, IECHO provides not just equipment, but full-cycle support – from selection and commissioning to application assistance. In recent years, IECHO has also introduced entry-level cutting systems, lowering the barrier to automation for small and medium-sized businesses. This enables Bitcom to serve everyone from startup sign shops to large industrial producers.
“Now we can offer our customers a very broad portfolio of cutting systems,” Amy said. “That’s exactly what we hoped for when we decided to partner with IECHO.”
Looking Ahead: Mutual Growth
When asked about her expectations for IECHO’s future, Amy responded, “I hope IECHO continues in the same direction – expanding the product line and continuously improving service. You’ve already achieved full coverage from high-end industrial machines to entry-level systems, which gives us great confidence in our sales.”
At the end of the interview, Henry asked Amy to describe IECHO’s service in one sentence. She smiled and said, “One sentence? No, just one word – Perfect.”
That succinct, powerful praise is a testament to IECHO’s technology-driven, customer-first philosophy. From Prague to the rest of the world, IECHO is staying “BY YOUR SIDE” helping partners move toward smart manufacturing.
